Our Savior Preschool - VPK READINESS

We are a Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) provider.

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a legislatively mandated program designed to prepare every four-year-old in Florida for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success.  The VPK program gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include high standards, manageable class sizes, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, and qualified instructors.

The VPK program is overseen by the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation.  The agency offers information on the program here.

The VKP program includes a component known as the Kindergarten Readiness Rate.  This is a test administered to our children to determine their readiness to succeed and thrive in Kindergarten.  It is a state-sanctioned and standardized exam.
