Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a wonderful opportunity for Our Savior Lutheran Church to proclaim the life-saving story of Jesus to our community, taking a fun, worldly theme and making it Christ-centered.  Previous years’ themes include “Raindrops to Rainbows”, “Champions for Jesus”, “Eagle Express, Flight 4031” "Bible Discovery Museum, and "A Ticket to Adventure".  VBS is traditionally held the second week of July and offers children four years old through eighth grade, as well as children enrolled at Our Savior Preschool, a morning filled with music, devotion and Bible study, crafts, refreshments and games.

The children were given a snack consisting of a graham cracker, frosting and chocolate chips and asked to create a cross before eating.

VBS week is truly a highlight in our year with the eagerness of the staff and children “to know Christ and to make Christ known” creating an atmosphere of Christian fellowship and friendship.  We gather one final time with the congregation on Sunday as the children sings VBS songs and display their work and crafts in the fellowship hall.  It is our hope and prayer that the Bible stories learned and the friendships made will encourage the children and their families to daily seek the Lord’s guidance and love and provide them with the assurance that Jesus died so that they may have eternal life.
